π Miles event recap
There is a certain beauty in how Nitin Maslekar, VP of Product at Miles, discusses Discovery within his specific environment. He shared the discovery and processes of internal tools to manage the car fleet and expressed how much he enjoys spending time in the field to observe how cars are repaired and to streamline operations. He mentioned visiting their operation center at least three times (which we think is a cool idea, actually!).
We invited a no-product manager speaker to learn more about Uber with Daniel Nguyen, Uber Regional Manager, regarding the regulations, business operations, and supply challenges he faces in the German market, which has significant growth potential. We concluded the evening with a few thoughts on how our autonomous vehicles will require a new set of operations and how Uber is already working through this.
We also received your feedback on the experiments we conduct: the size of the event, speakers, seniority, tickets, and membership, to improve our events, reduce the no-show rates for meetups, and gain hands-on insights on stage. So far, we are excited to share what the community loved the most!
The format was kind of new for this type of event, but that was exactly what enabled attendees to actively communicate with each other and with the speakers. After all, it didnβt feel like an official professional meet-up, rather a warm and light meeting with old friends :) Daniel Zherenkov

π« Our upcoming events!
Our flagship event is on September 17 and 18. We want to celebrate the community with moments of hands-on learning, roundtables, and fun. Speakers and participants will share knowledge on how they are working on AI, growth, leadership, and productivity to future-proof our journeys!
We chatted with Marcel, ex-SumUp, about his journey to becoming CPO at ToolTime. They offer a SaaS tool for tradespeople to save time. He will share how they are implementing their new vertical for payments and billing, making things faster and safer for their users! The guest speaker will be announced soon, most probably from the fintech world! See you in their beautiful office!

We are kicking off the month with a special event at BEAM to discover our entrepreneurial side by launching from scratch, solving hard problems, validating, and launching to the market. You can join startup accelerators or company builders; one of them is BEAM, and Alessio will share his journey after several ventures in building a new product in the logistics space!
